Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to ShadowTeacher UAE ("Platform", "we", "our", or "us"). By registering for, accessing, or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ShadowTeacher UAE in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
2. Nature of the Platform
ShadowTeacher UAE acts solely as a digital venue connecting parents of children with special needs ("Parents") and qualified shadow teachers ("Teachers").
- No Employment Relationship: We are not an employment agency, employer, or recruiter. We do not employ Teachers, nor do we act as an agent for Parents. Any engagement or contract formed is directly between the Parent and the Teacher.
- No Endorsement: While we conduct preliminary document verification (such as reviewing submitted police clearance and educational certificates), we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy, quality, or safety of any Teacher or job post. Parents are solely responsible for conducting their own interviews, background checks, and references before hiring.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
To use the Platform, you must be at least 21 years of age, representing the age of full legal capacity under the UAE Civil Transactions Law, or otherwise possess the valid legal authority to enter into binding contracts.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password, OTP, and account credentials.
4. User Conduct and UAE Law Compliance
You agree to use the Platform in strict compliance with all applicable laws of the UAE, including but not limited to the Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumors and Cybercrimes. You shall not:
- Post or transmit any content that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, or contrary to public morals and Islamic principles.
- Submit false documents, forged qualifications, or misrepresent your identity or experience.
- Harass, stalk, or harm another user.
- Use the Platform's messaging or community features for spam, commercial solicitation, or any purpose other than finding or providing shadow teaching services.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently block users who violate these conduct rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
5. Document Verification (Teachers)
Teachers are required to upload verification documents, which may include educational credentials and a valid Police Clearance Certificate. By uploading these documents, you represent and warrant that they are authentic, unaltered, and belong to you. Providing forged documents is a criminal offense in the UAE and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, ShadowTeacher UAE and its affiliates, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, or property damage, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or interactions with other users.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the local laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai (excluding the DIFC Courts).
8. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
